Teresa Jackson, Psy.D., ATR-BC
Dr. Teresa L. Jackson, a native of Dallas, has an impressive educational background. She graduated from Arts Magnet High School at Booker T. Washington and holds a Bachelor of Fine Art from United States International University, a Master of Fine Art in Art Therapy from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, a Master of Clinical Psychology, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Texas School of Professional Psychology.
As an artist, Dr. Jackson’s love for art led her into the mental health field. In her first year of college, she discovered art therapy. She has continued to create art over the years, primarily for her enjoyment and occasionally exhibiting in competitions. With her professional career in mental health well established, she can now focus on her art career intently, with an emphasis on photography. She is the 2024 recipient of a Best of Show Award, in the State Fair of Texas Creative Arts Competition, Professional Division black and white photographs- portraits for her photograph titled, “Judge Me Not” and Honorable Mention for, “Forever Innocent 2.” Other awards include 3rd place (2017) for “The Superhero Takes a Break;” 2nd place (2019) for, “Patiently I Wait,” and 3rd for “Unbothered,” all in the amateur division for black and white photographs in the State Fair of Texas Creative Arts Competition. In October 2023, she participated in a Dallas College (Mountain View Campus) student-led group photography exhibit, “Elements of III.” This exhibition set the stage for several other exhibits. She opened her first solo photography exhibition on May 10, 2024, titled “to Bear Witness,” at the South Dallas Cultural Center, curated by John Spriggins, and a second solo exhibition of “to Bear Witness” opened on July 19th, 2024, at The Adolphus Tower Gallery, curated by Frankie Garcia III of FGIII Fine Art Productions.
Dr. Jackson is a licensed psychologist in the State of Texas, a Board-Certified Art Therapist, and a Certified Brainspotting Practitioner with thirty-plus years of experience in mental health treatment. She is not just a practitioner but a leader in the field, serving as the CEO and founder of Montgomery Behavioral Health Institute, LLC (MBHI), 2011 and My Therapist Said, LLC (MTS), an e-commerce business focused on promoting mental wellness and destigmatizing mental illness, launched in March 2024.
Dr. Jackson’s contributions extend beyond her private practice. She is a passionate volunteer and community leader. She serves on the City of Dallas’ Arts and Culture Advisory Commission, representing District 7. She has volunteered at Innercity Community Development Corporation since 2006 and is president of the Executive Board. She regularly offers mentorship and support for early- career mental health professionals to promote and uphold a standard in the field.

Jessica Buescher
Jessica Buescher is a licensed mental health counselor and board-certified art therapist with extensive experience specializing in trauma-informed care, neurodivergent populations, and early childhood mental health. As the Founder and Director of Art of the Soul Studio (est. 2010), she has worked extensively with refugees and trauma survivors, delivering community-based art therapy programs that promote emotional healing and resilience. She is also the Founder and Director of Healing Seed (est. 2018), where her work centers on healing stories for communities, along with courses and coaching that emphasize personal growth through creativity and mindfulness. In addition, Jessica offers reflective supervision for professionals working with children aged 0-5 and supports program development. She integrates the Developmental Individual Relationship (DIR) model into her practice, guiding clients through complex emotional and developmental challenges. Her approach fosters self-expression, holistic well-being, and family-centered care in inclusive, supportive environments.
